Core Web Vitals repair
Getting LCP, CLS, and INP into passing range on real hardware, not a lab score.
A WordPress SEO agency for businesses worldwide. Most WordPress sites lose rankings to plugin bloat, slow hosting, and theme code rather than to weak content, so that is where we start.
A WordPress SEO agency works on the specific ways WordPress sites underperform in search: page builder overhead, plugin conflicts, bloated themes, shared hosting that cannot hit Core Web Vitals, and SEO plugins configured once and never revisited. Logical Dot Tech works with WordPress site owners worldwide, starting with the technical layer that holds the site back, then the content and internal linking that earn the rankings. We work inside your existing theme and stack wherever possible rather than proposing a rebuild by default.
WordPress is not inherently bad for SEO. It runs a large share of the web including plenty of sites that rank extremely well. The problems are almost always decisions made during the build, and they repeat with remarkable consistency across the sites we audit.
Most WordPress speed advice stops at installing a caching plugin, which helps but rarely gets a builder-heavy site into passing range. The three metrics fail for different reasons and need different fixes.
| Metric | Usual WordPress cause | What actually fixes it |
|---|---|---|
| LCP | Slow host plus an unoptimised hero image | Better hosting, proper image formats, preloading the hero |
| CLS | Images without dimensions, late-loading fonts | Explicit width and height, font-display handling |
| INP | Heavy builder and plugin JavaScript | Removing unused scripts, deferring what remains |
| TTFB | Shared hosting and uncached queries | Object caching, or a host that is not oversubscribed |
An SEO plugin does not do SEO. It gives you fields to fill and switches to set, and the defaults are not right for every site. We regularly find sites where an archive that should be indexed is noindexed, or where every category page is generating duplicate titles, purely because nobody revisited the settings after activation.
We go through the configuration properly, fix the templates that generate titles and descriptions site-wide, and make sure the schema output is not fighting with schema your theme is already emitting, which is a surprisingly common cause of invalid structured data.
Content-heavy WordPress sites accumulate orphan posts: articles with no internal links pointing at them, reachable only through an archive page or the sitemap. They rarely rank, and their authority never reaches the service pages that generate revenue.
We map the existing link graph, identify orphans and the pages starved of internal authority, and build a linking plan that routes relevance toward the pages that matter commercially. On large sites we implement this in batches so the effect is measurable rather than guessed at.
A rebuild is the expensive answer and it is not always the right one. Plenty of underperforming WordPress sites can be brought into shape by removing plugins, replacing builder sections with theme code on key templates, and moving to competent hosting.
We recommend rebuilding when the theme itself is the bottleneck and cannot be fixed incrementally, when the site carries years of technical debt that costs more to unpick than to replace, or when the design no longer converts regardless of speed. You get that recommendation with the reasoning, not as a default upsell.
This work fits businesses whose WordPress site is their main marketing asset and is currently underperforming.
Getting LCP, CLS, and INP into passing range on real hardware, not a lab score.
Finding what is loading site-wide for a feature used on two pages.
Yoast or Rank Math set up correctly, including the settings that quietly noindex pages.
Schema, headings, and markup corrected in the theme instead of stacked as more plugins.
Fixing orphan posts and giving your money pages the internal authority they need.
Host moves, HTTPS, and replatforming with redirect maps prepared before launch.
We dig into your goals, market, and data to find the highest-leverage move.
Strategy and architecture mapped before a line of code or a dollar of spend.
We ship in tight sprints with weekly demos you can actually see.
We measure, optimize, and compound results month over month.
Only when incremental fixes genuinely will not get you there, and we will explain exactly why. Most WordPress sites we audit improve substantially through plugin removal, targeted theme work, image handling, and better hosting. A rebuild is a real recommendation when it is warranted, not a default.
Not necessarily. Builders add weight but the impact varies with how they are used. We measure what your builder actually costs on your key templates. Often the answer is to replace the builder on a handful of high-traffic templates and leave the rest, which captures most of the gain for a fraction of the disruption.
Because host speed tests measure server response on an empty request, and Core Web Vitals measure what a real visitor experiences on a real device, including every plugin script and builder stylesheet. Both can be accurate at once. Field data from real users is the measurement that counts.
No. Green lights in Yoast measure whether you filled the fields, not whether the page can rank. We regularly find sites with perfect Yoast scores that are noindexing important archives, generating duplicate titles across categories, or emitting schema that conflicts with the theme.
Usually, and the cause is normally URL changes without redirects, content removed during the rebuild, or a staging site that got indexed. We compare what existed before against what exists now, restore or redirect what was lost, and monitor recovery. Acting early matters.
Yes, and we have a dedicated page for store automation. For SEO specifically, WooCommerce adds product and category templates plus faceted navigation, which is the most common source of crawl waste on a WordPress store. That gets handled as part of the technical work.
Not if they are implemented properly. We put theme-level changes in a child theme or the appropriate hooks so core and plugin updates do not overwrite them, and we document what was changed and where, so a future developer is not guessing.
