AEO Agency

An AEO agency for the answer slots above the results.

An answer engine optimization agency for businesses worldwide. Featured snippets, People Also Ask, and voice answers are won by formatting and structure more than by authority, which makes them reachable even when the blue links are not.

An AEO agency optimises content to win the answer positions that appear above and alongside conventional results: featured snippets, People Also Ask, voice assistant responses, and the AI Overview panels that increasingly sit at the top of search. These slots are awarded largely on how clearly a page answers a specific question, which is why a smaller site can take one from a larger competitor. Logical Dot Tech does this work for clients worldwide, and part of it is deciding which snippets are worth winning at all.

Why answer slots are winnable without authority

Ranking first for a competitive term usually requires authority built over years. Featured snippets work differently. Google picks the passage that answers the question most cleanly, and it can pull that from a page ranking fifth or eighth. Formatting frequently beats domain strength.

That makes snippets one of the few places a newer site can appear above established competitors on the same page, which is why this is often the fastest visible win available to a site that has good content but not yet the authority to rank first.

Match the format the query already rewards

Every snippet-eligible query already displays a particular format, and Google rarely switches. Answering a list query with a paragraph, however well written, will not take the slot.

Query shapeFormat shownHow to write it
What is XParagraphDefine in 40 to 55 words directly under the heading
How to XNumbered listSequential steps, one action each, verb first
Best X for YBulleted listParallel items, no marketing language
X vs YTableConsistent rows, comparable values
How much does X costParagraph or tableState a figure or the honest reason there is not one

The forty-word rule, and why it works

Paragraph snippets are almost always between forty and sixty words. If your answer to a question runs three hundred words before reaching the point, there is nothing compact enough to lift.

The technique is straightforward: state the answer immediately and completely in one short paragraph directly under the question heading, then elaborate underneath for the reader who wants depth. That structure serves both audiences and is what makes a passage extractable.

Which snippets are worth taking

Not every snippet is a prize. Winning one on a purely informational query can satisfy the searcher completely and reduce your clicks, which is a real trade-off worth deciding deliberately rather than by accident.

  • Worth taking: queries where the answer naturally leads to a next step you offer.
  • Worth taking: comparison and cost queries, where the reader still needs to act.
  • Think twice: definitions with no commercial follow-on, which can cost you the visit.
  • Worth taking anyway: anything a voice assistant reads aloud, since it names one source.

Voice answers name exactly one source

Spoken assistants do not read a results page. They return a single answer, usually drawn from snippet-eligible content, and typically credit one source. There is no second place in a voice result.

That raises the stakes on conversational phrasing. People speak questions differently from how they type them, so the phrasing we optimise for spoken queries is longer and more natural than the keyword-shaped version that works in text search.

Who this suits

AEO fits sites with genuine subject depth that are not yet winning the top organic positions.

  • Sites ranking on page one but below competitors who hold the snippet.
  • Businesses whose customers ask clear, answerable questions before buying.
  • Content-heavy sites with good material that is badly structured for extraction.
  • Brands wanting presence in voice results, where only one source is named.

How is AEO different from GEO?

AEO targets the structured answer slots inside conventional search: featured snippets, People Also Ask, and voice results. GEO targets being cited inside answers generated by assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity. The underlying content work overlaps, but the surfaces, the mechanics, and the measurement are different.

Will winning a featured snippet cost us clicks?

Sometimes, and it depends entirely on the query. A snippet that fully answers a definitional question can satisfy the searcher without a visit. A snippet on a comparison, pricing, or how-to query usually earns the click because the reader still needs the detail. We choose targets with that trade-off in mind rather than chasing every snippet available.

How quickly can we win snippets?

Faster than most SEO work. Where you already rank on page one for the query, restructuring the answer can take a snippet within a few weeks, sometimes days. If you are not on page one yet, ranking has to come first, and that follows normal SEO timelines.

Do we need FAQ schema to win snippets?

Not strictly. Google awards snippets from ordinary well-structured content and does not require markup to do it. Schema helps eligibility for other result types and makes your structure explicit, so we add it where it fits. It is a supporting move rather than the mechanism.

Can a small site really beat a big competitor for a snippet?

Yes, and this is the genuinely unusual thing about answer slots. Google selects the clearest passage, which it will pull from a page ranking fifth or eighth. Formatting frequently beats domain authority here, which is why AEO often produces the first visible win for a newer site.

What about People Also Ask boxes?

They are worth deliberate work because they expand as the user clicks, creating a growing tree of related questions. Covering that tree properly across your content tends to produce compounding visibility, and the questions themselves are an unusually honest picture of what your buyers actually want to know.

Does AEO work for voice search?

It is largely the same work, because voice assistants draw heavily on snippet-eligible content. The difference is that a voice answer names one source and there is no second place, and that spoken questions are phrased more conversationally than typed ones, so we optimise for that longer natural phrasing as well.
