Website Speed Optimization
A faster website, measured the way Google measures it.
We find what slows your pages down, fix it, and check the result against Google's Core Web Vitals on real visitors' devices as well as in lab tests.
Short answer
Website speed optimization makes pages load fast, respond quickly to taps and stay steady while loading, measured by Google's Core Web Vitals. We check your real-visitor data, find the causes such as large images, heavy scripts or plugins and slow hosting, fix the biggest first, and show you the same measurements before and after.

Website speed optimization means making pages load quickly, respond quickly when tapped and stay steady while they load. Google measures this with three Core Web Vitals: Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift. We measure your pages, find the causes (often large images, too many scripts, heavy plugins or slow hosting), fix them, and confirm the improvement with Google's own data.
What do Core Web Vitals measure?
Google's web.dev guide sets "good" thresholds for each metric, measured at the 75th percentile of page loads, separately for mobile and desktop.
| Metric | What it measures | Good |
|---|---|---|
| Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) | How fast the main content appears | 2.5 seconds or less |
| Interaction to Next Paint (INP) | How fast the page responds to a tap or click | 200 milliseconds or less |
| Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) | How much the layout jumps while loading | 0.1 or less |
What usually makes a website slow?
On the sites we check, the same causes come up again and again.
- Large images: photos uploaded straight from a phone or camera, several times bigger than the screen needs.
- Too many scripts: chat widgets, trackers, sliders and fonts all loading before the content.
- Heavy plugins or apps: page builders and add-ons that load their code on every page.
- No caching: every visit builds the page from scratch.
- Slow or crowded hosting: the cheapest plans share a server with many other sites.
- Layout shifts: images and ads without set sizes, pushing text around as they load.
How we work
We start with the data Google already has about your real visitors, from the Core Web Vitals report in Search Console and PageSpeed Insights, then use lab tests to find the causes on each template. We fix the biggest causes first, test that nothing broke, and compare the same measurements afterwards. Real-visitor data updates over the following weeks, so we check again once it has caught up.
Speed during a redesign
If you are planning a new site anyway, the cheapest time to get speed right is during the build. Our website redesign checklist includes the Core Web Vitals targets to set before launch.

Why us
Senior people doing the actual work.
No junior hand-offs and no black boxes. You get specialists who build it, weekly demos while it takes shape, and plain-English reporting on what changed and what it earned.
What's included
Everything you get, in one engagement.
Speed audit
Core Web Vitals from real visitors and lab tests, page by page.
Image fixes
Images resized, compressed and served in modern formats.
Script cleanup
Unused scripts removed and the rest loaded so they do not block the page.
Caching
Page, browser and server caching set up and tested.
Plugin and app review
Heavy plugins or apps replaced with lighter ones.
Before and after report
The same measurements before and after, so you can see the change.
How we work
A process that ships, not just plans.
You always know the price, the plan and what is happening this week.
Free 30-minute call
We look at your goals, your current site and what is actually worth building.
Fixed price, in writing
Scope, timeline and price are written down before any work starts.
A demo every week
You see real progress on screen every week, not a report about it.
Launch, then improve
We launch, measure what visitors do, and keep improving what brings enquiries.
How much does speed optimization cost?
It depends on the platform, the number of page templates and what is causing the slowness. After a free speed check we send a written fixed price.
Will a faster site rank higher on Google?
Speed is one of many signals, and it will not outrank better content on its own. It does help visitors stay and act, and pages that pass Core Web Vitals give Google one less reason to prefer a competitor.
Can you speed up a Shopify store?
Yes. Shopify hosts the store, so the work is on the theme, images and apps, which are the usual causes of slow Shopify pages.
Do I need new hosting?
Sometimes. We fix what is on the site first, then tell you if the hosting is the limit and what to move to.
How long does it take?
Most sites take a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how many templates and plugins are involved. Real-visitor data in Google then takes a few weeks to fully reflect the change.
Will you change how the site looks?
Not without asking. Speed work changes how things load, not what the site looks like. Where a change would be visible, such as replacing a slider, we show you first.
